Assign US Workers' Compensation Deductions

This section describes the final configuration step. You need to assign the US workers' compensation deductions to the appropriate employees in People.

To assign workers' compensation deductions to employees: 

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Payroll > Payroll Elections.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Type drop-down list, select Deduction.
  4. In the Code drop-down list, select the workers' compensation code.
  5. In the Schedule drop-down list, select how frequently the workers' compensation premiums are paid.
  6. In the Effective Start field, specify when the deduction is applied.
  7. If necessary, specify an effective end date in the Effective End field. The application only applies the deduction during the effective date range defined by the Effective Start and Effective End fields.
  8. By default, the Effective End field is blank and the value does not expire.
  9. Click Save.
