This section describes the final configuration step. You need to assign the US workers' compensation deductions to the appropriate employees in People.
To assign workers' compensation deductions to employees:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Payroll > Payroll Elections.
- Click Add.
- In the Type drop-down list, select Deduction.
- In the Code drop-down list, select the workers' compensation code.
- In the Schedule drop-down list, select how frequently the workers' compensation premiums are paid.
- In the Effective Start field, specify when the deduction is applied.
- If necessary, specify an effective end date in the Effective End field. The application only applies the deduction during the effective date range defined by the Effective Start and Effective End fields.
- By default, the Effective End field is blank and the value does not expire.
- Click Save.
