Before You Begin: Make sure that you're familiar with the general concepts associated with role features. See Role Features.
To assign features and subfeatures to a role:
- Go to System Admin > Roles and select a role.
- Click the Features tab.
- Select the checkboxes next to the features that you want to assign to the role. Most features have subfeatures (children) underneath them. You need to first select the top (parent) feature and then assign the appropriate subfeatures. To assign subfeatures:
- Click the expand arrow (
) next to the parent feature to show the list of its subfeatures.
- Select the checkbox corresponding with its associated subfeature. For example, in People, you need to assign the Reports subfeature to grant the user role the ability to run reports.
- Click Save.
