You can assign some or all of the incident types that you’ve configured to the new attendance policy. Only the incident types assigned to the policy are tracked and impact the attendance records of employees assigned the attendance policy.
To assign incident types to an attendance policy:
- Go to Pay Setup > Attendance. Dayforce shows the Attendance Policy tab, by default.
- Select the attendance policy that you want to add incident types to.
- Click the Incident Type sub-tab, then click Add.
- Select the incident type that you want to assign to the policy.
- Enter an effective start date and, optionally, an effective end date. If you don’t enter an end date, the incident type doesn’t expire.
- (Optional) Select the Send Notification checkbox and enter a message in the Notification Message field if you want employees to receive customized notifications when the incident type occurs.
- Note: For employees to receive incident notifications, they must be subscribed to the Incident Violation Notification. See Configure Customized Notifications.
- Click Save.
