Assign Base Rate Policies to Employees

The final step in configuring base rate progression is to assign base rate policies to employees.

To assign a base rate policy to an employee:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Employment > Employment Settings. The Employment Status tab is selected by default.
  2. In the Policies and Groups section, select the base rate policy in the Rate Policy drop-down list.
  3. Note: If job step policies are configured in Dayforce, these are also listed in the Rate Policy drop-down list. You can assign either a job step policy or a base rate policy, but not both.
  4. Click Save.
