Important: Every ruleset for UK employees needs to have an instance of the Apply UK Taxes Rule added in order for the application to calculate and apply taxes.
Configure this rule to apply taxes to employee pay. The rule triggers the application to calculate the amount of taxes deducted from gross pay.
This rule includes calculation for UK PAYE (tax) and also UK National Insurance (EE and ER contributions).
This rule is the UK equivalent of the Apply Taxes Rule that is used for Canadian and US employees.
Apply UK Taxes Rule Parameters
The application displays unnecessary parameters for the Apply UK Taxes Rule. Although these parameters are displayed, they aren’t used by the application. To configure the application to deduct taxes from employee earnings, you need to add the Apply UK Taxes Rule to each ruleset but do not have to define values for any of the parameters.
