To add a simple eligibility qualifier:
- Go to Benefits Setup > Eligibility.
- Click Add and select the qualifier type (not Operator Qualifier).
- Enter a name for the qualifier. The name shows when you assign a qualifier in Dayforce.
- If you want to use the qualifier, leave the Active checkbox selected. Qualifiers must be active to return correct eligibility information (inactive qualifiers consider all employees eligible).
- Important: If you're using a qualifier in an eligibility configuration in another feature and want to make the qualifier inactive, you must update that eligibility configuration and remove the qualifier from it first.
- (Optional) Enter a description for the qualifier.
- Enter a reference ID for the qualifier. This ID is used in import files when importing plan option rates.
- Set all of the qualifier fields that you need.
- Click Save.
