Add Simple Eligibility Qualifiers

To add a simple eligibility qualifier:

  1. Go to Benefits Setup > Eligibility.
  2. Click Add and select the qualifier type (not Operator Qualifier).
  3. Enter a name for the qualifier. The name shows when you assign a qualifier in Dayforce.
  4. If you want to use the qualifier, leave the Active checkbox selected. Qualifiers must be active to return correct eligibility information (inactive qualifiers consider all employees eligible).
  5. Important: If you're using a qualifier in an eligibility configuration in another feature and want to make the qualifier inactive, you must update that eligibility configuration and remove the qualifier from it first.
  6. (Optional) Enter a description for the qualifier.
  7. Enter a reference ID for the qualifier. This ID is used in import files when importing plan option rates.
  8. Set all of the qualifier fields that you need.
  9. Click Save.
