After you configure a fixed (shifts with transfers) template, you must add shifts to it. For each shift that you add, you must specify its shift labor and shift definition. Additionally, you must configure how many shifts Dayforce should schedule for each day of the week. You can also add segments to each shift in the template.
To add a shift to the template:
- Go to Scheduling Plan > Templates.
- Click the arrow (
) for the template that you want to add shifts to.
- In the Fixed Template Details panel that opens, click Add.
- In the drop-down lists, select the shift labor and shift definition that you want to add.
- Note: The options that appear in the Shift Labor and Shift Definition drop-down lists are configured in Scheduling Plan > Shift Setup.
- (Optional) In the Qty fields, enter the number of shifts that Dayforce creates on each day.
- Enter the template's effective dates.
- Click Save.
Add Segments
- In the Fixed Template Details panel, click the arrow (
) for the shift that you want to add a segment to.
- In the panel that opens, click Add.
- Enter the segment's start time.
- Select the shift labor that's associated with the segment.
- Click Save.
