Before you can configure shift bidding sessions, you need to group together the employees that you want to include in the sessions. By creating distinct groups of employees, you can create an additional level of conditioning for your shift bidding sessions. For example, you can prioritize one group of employees by giving them advanced time to bid on unfilled shifts before another group of employees can bid.
You configure shift bidding groups in HR Admin > Groups.
Role feature access: HR Admin > HR Admin > Groups
To add a shift bidding group:
- Go to HR Admin > Groups and click Add.
- In the General tab, enter a name for the group.
- In the Group Type drop-down list, select Shift Marketplace.
- (Optional) Enter a reference code and description for the group.
- Do one of the following:
- To manually add employees to the group, open the Members tab and click Add.
- To configure Dayforce to automatically add employees to the group based on eligibility criteria that you configure, in the General tab, click the Use Eligibility Criteria checkbox. Next, configure the eligibility criteria in the Eligibility section.
- Click Save.
