After configuring the general details for your notification record, you must assign notifications to the record in the Notifications tab in the Messages section.
To associate vacation bidding notifications with your notification record:
- In the Messages section, click Add.
- Dayforce adds a new notification with Bidding Round Start selected in the Event column, by default. The selection in the Event column represents the notification that you’re configuring. To configure a different notification, select the field in the Event column and choose one of the following notification options in the drop-down list:
- Bidding Round Start (default selection)
- Bidding Round End
- Bidding Round Void
- Bidding Window Start
- Bidding Window End
- Request Approved
- Request Cancelled
- Request Denied
- Dayforce also expands the new notification after you click Add, showing the Notification Message and Notification Schedules tabs.
- Note: The Notification Schedules tab is grayed out and unavailable for some notifications.
- In the Subject field, enter the subject line of the notification that Dayforce sends to the employee.
- In the Notification Message tab, enter your notification message in the text field. See Customize Notification Messages.
- In the Notification Schedules tab, configure the delivery schedule that dictates when Dayforce notifies employees about their bidding round or bidding window start and end dates. See Schedule Your Notification Messages.
Important: Dayforce generates an error and doesn’t save your changes if you add a duplicate notification with the same message text and subject line to a notification record.
