When you add a goal section, Dayforce automatically populates employees' goals from Performance into their review form based on one or more defined goal categories.
To add a goal section to a review form:
- Go to Performance Setup > Review Setup.
- Click the Review Cycles tab.
- In the Sections tab, click New and select Goal.
- Enter a value in the Name field.
- This value defines the name that is displayed in the section header in the review form.
- (Optional) Enter a description of the section in the Description field. This value isn’t user-facing.
- (Optional) Enter instructions for the section in the Instruction Text field. This value defines the text that is displayed in the blue text box under the section heading.
- (Optional) Enter a value between 0 and 100 in the Sectional Weight field.
- You must either configure weight for all sections of the form, or not configure weight for any sections (that is, leave the field cleared) of the form. If you don't configure weight for any section, all sections have equal weight.
- (Optional) Select the Add weights to individual goals checkbox if you want to allow managers to define individual weights for each goal in the review. See Individual Weights.
- Select an option from the Rating Scale drop-down list.
- This field is automatically populated with the overall rating scale, but you can change it if needed. See Section Rating Scales.
- (Optional) Select the Required checkbox if you want to force users to enter a rating for each goal. Clearing the checkbox allows users to not add a rating.
- Select Yes or No in the Comments field to specify whether each goal will have a Comments field in the review. If you select Yes, you can also select the Required checkbox to make filling out the comments mandatory. (Clearing the checkbox allows users to not add comments.)
- Select one or more goal categories in the Goal Categories field.
- Note: You cannot select the same goal category in more than one section of the review form.
- Click Save.
