Add Employee Name Details

Use the HR Admin > Employee Name Details feature to manage employee last name prefixes and name affixes. While the feature contains several predefined values, you can also add custom values. Users access these values when adding new employees with forms or when updating employee details in the Personal > Contact Information screen of People. The following screenshot shows an example of the Employee Name Details feature with the Last Name Prefix tab selected:

Values accepted by German social insurance are indicated by a selected checkbox in the Accepted By German Social Insurance column in both tabs. When you add a custom value in either tab, Dayforce automatically selects this checkbox if the value is valid for German social insurance. If it's not valid, the checkbox isn't selected.

To add name details:

  1. Go to HR Admin > Employee Name Details and do one or both of the following steps:
    • In the Last Name Prefix tab, click Add and then enter the prefix and its reference code.
    • In the Name Affix tab, click Add and then enter the affix and its reference code.
  2. Dayforce automatically selects the Accepted By German Social Insurance checkbox if the value you entered is valid for German social insurance.
  3. Click Save.
