Update the Clock’s Firmware (Dayforce Clock Pro Only)

You can update the clock’s firmware over the network. When updating the firmware, the clock submits all unsubmitted data to the server before starting the update.

When the Dayforce Clock Pro downloads a firmware update, it verifies that the update matches the update on the server before running it on the clock’s firmware. If the updates don’t match, the firmware update process is abandoned.

To update the clock’s firmware:

1. Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
2. Tap the Online Firmware Update button. The clock shows a dialog box that indicates one of the following:
   • The clock’s firmware isn’t up to date and an update is available.
   • The clock’s firmware is already up to date and you can’t initiate a firmware update. Click Cancel to return to the admin menu.
3. If a firmware update is available, do one of the following:
   • Click Yes to continue with the firmware update.
   • Click No to return to the admin menu.
4. The firmware update takes a few minutes. The clock indicates if the firmware was updated successfully.
