After you assign the clock to a location, you must update the database to push the information for that location to the clock. Though this happens automatically at the interval or time specified in the config file, you can also manually update it.
To manually update the database, complete the following steps on the clock:
- Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
- Tap Server Synchronization.
- In the Server Synchronization screen, tap Update Database.
After you have updated the clock database for the first time, you can configure the clock and enroll employees for biometric verification and picture capture. For more information, see the appropriate sections of this guide.
Note: For clocks operating in standalone mode, you can update the clock’s database remotely by selecting the Update Database checkbox in Site Setup > Clock Devices in the main application.
