Time and Pay Configuration

In the <time_and_pay> section, you can enable the Time and pay tab in the clock interface for the Dayforce Clock Pro and Clock+, and control whether the clocks perform additional authentication when employees access self-service mode.

self_service_on_login	√	√	Controls whether the clock prompts the employee to submit their fingerprint for biometric verification when logging in to self-service mode. When biometric verification is enabled and this tag is set to `no`, the clock prompts the employee for fingerprint authentication both when they log in on the clock and when they access self-service mode. When biometric verification is enabled and this tag is set to `yes`, the clock prompts the employee for fingerprint authentication only when they first log in on the clock. If the employee accesses self-service mode, the clock doesn’t prompt them for fingerprint authentication a second time because the clock also performed a self-service authentication when they first logged in and verified their identity through a fingerprint scan.
