In the Time Away feature, you can view and request time away from work. When you make a request, the reason that you specify (such as vacation or sick leave) determines how you are paid for the time. It can also determine whether or not you are allowed to make the request for time away based on your balance availability.
To request time away from work:
- In the self-service home screen, tap Time Away.
- The clock opens the Time Away From Work screen and shows any requests you have already made:
- Tap Add. The clock shows the settings for the new time away request:
- Note: Depending on your time off policy configuration, this screen might show different options.
- Tap the Reason field and select a reason.
- In the Type of Request section, specify the type of request you want to submit (that is, a full-day or half-day request).
- In the Date Range field, specify the start and end dates for your request.
- (Optional) Enter your comments for the request in the Employee Comment field.
- (Optional) Tap Balances to view your time away balances.
- Tap Save.
