Network Setup (Dayforce Clock Pro Only)

You can configure the Dayforce Clock Pro to use an Ethernet or wireless network connection. Administrators change network preferences using the Network Setup feature.

Connect to a Wireless Network

To connect to a wireless network on the clock:

  1. Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
  2. Tap Network Setup.
  3. Tap Wireless Configuration. The clock shows a list of available networks.
  4. Tap the network that you want to connect to.
  5. When prompted, enter the network credentials.
  6. Tap Connect.

When the clock loses its Wi-Fi connection, it automatically attempts to reconnect and continues attempting to reconnect every 10 minutes until the connection is restored.

Configure the Clock to Use a Static IP Address

By default, the clock uses Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). You can configure the clock to use a static IP address instead.

To configure the clock to use a static IP address:

  1. Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
  2. Tap Network Setup.
  3. Tap Ethernet Configuration.
  4. Clear the Use Dynamic IP Address checkbox.
  5. In the fields provided, enter the details for the static IP address.
  6. Note: Don’t enter leading zeros when specifying the static IP address.
  7. Tap OK.

Configure the Clock to Use a Proxy Server

Administrators can configure the clock to communicate with Dayforce through a proxy server, either in the config file (see Communication Configuration (Dayforce Clock Pro Only)), or directly on the clock.

To configure the clock to use a proxy server:

  1. Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
  2. Tap Network Setup.
  3. Tap Proxy Configuration.
  4. When prompted, enter the IP address and port for the proxy server.
  5. Tap Verify.
