Dayforce Touch Clock

The Dayforce Touch Clock allows employees to record clock entries and perform various self-service tasks on a user-friendly touch screen interface. Employees can clock in and out for their shifts, view their schedule, and request time away from work, all in one place. Similarly, managers can use the clock to override employee clock entries, update tasks, and manage requests for time away from work.

The clock provides a number of different options for validation and additional, optional functionality. It can be configured to perform PIN verification (where employees are prompted to enter their PIN) and biometric verification (where employees are prompted to scan their finger). The clock also offers picture capture functionality, where the clock takes a picture of the employee when they perform a clock entry, so that managers can then compare the picture with the one stored in the database.

The main clock functionality is found on the clock home screen:

Note: Depending on how the clock is configured, some of these options might not be shown.

From the home screen, users can access different “modes” that provide additional functionality, such as administrator mode, supervisor mode, and self-service. You can find more information about each of these modes in the sections linked below.

This guide describes how to set up the Dayforce Touch Clock and how to enroll employees for specific functionality such as biometric verification or picture capture. Additionally, this guide describes how supervisors and employees can use the clock to record their worked time and, if enabled on the clock, perform various self-service functions such as viewing schedules and requesting time away from work.

This guide is divided into three main sections based on audience:

  1. Administrators: This section describes how to install the clocks, connect them to Dayforce, and configure them for various functionality such as verification and self-service.
  2. Managers and Supervisors: This section describes how supervisors can override employee clock entries, enroll employees for biometric verification or picture capture (if enabled), and perform manager self-service functions such as updating tasks and time away from work requests.
  3. Employees: This section describes how employees can perform clock entries and self-service functions such as viewing their schedule and requesting time away from work.
