Configure Inter-Clock Communication

Before You Begin: This section applies only for Dayforce Touch Clock devices.

If your organization uses more than one clock, you can configure the clocks to communicate with one another so that employees don’t have to perform all of their clock entries for the day on the same clock.

To configure clocks to communicate with each other:

1. In Pay Setup > Clock Devices, assign all necessary clocks to the same Clock Device Group.
2. See Clock Device Group Setup.
2. Ensure that the SendMessages tag is enabled in the <threads> section of the necessary config files. This tag is enabled by default, so make sure it’s not disabled in the clock’s custom config override file.
3. Enable the <punch_exchange> tag in the <communication> section of the necessary config files.
