Clock Survey Configuration

You can configure clock surveys in Dayforce to regulate clock entries and functions for employees who use Dayforce clocks. Clock surveys refer to questionnaires or statements that employees are prompted with before completing a clock entry or action on a Dayforce clock. Employees must review the questions or conditional terms and either respond to the questions or agree to the conditions for the clock to accept their input.

You can customize the surveys to support the business needs of your organization. This includes when employees are prompted with surveys and what action the clock takes when an employee selects a specific response. For example, consider an organization that employs kitchen staff. The organization can create a survey that asks users performing an end meal clock entry if they remembered to wash their hands after their meal break. They can configure the survey so that when employees reply “No” to the “Did you wash your hands after your break?” question, the clock entry is rejected.

After you create a clock survey, you can publish it to your clock devices. Clock surveys are supported on the Dayforce Touch Clock and Clock+, and in Work > Time Clock.

This section describes:

  1. How to configure clock survey groups in Site SetupClock Survey Groups, which you can assign to clock surveys in Site SetupSurvey Setup and to devices in Pay SetupClock Devices.
  2. How to configure survey questions and answers in Site SetupClock SurveysSurvey Question Setup.
  3. How to configure surveys in Site SetupClock SurveysSurvey Setup.

Important: Clock surveys should be configured in the order outlined above. Some configuration processes are dependent on other clock survey functionality already existing in the application. For example, before you can configure a clock survey in Clock SurveysSurvey Setup, you must create questions and answer types in Clock SurveysSurvey Question Setup.
