There are different types of clock entries that you can perform on the Dayforce Touch Clock, including:
- Starting or ending your shift.
- Starting or ending a meal.
- Starting or ending a break.
- Starting your shift with a transfer.
- Starting your shift with multiple transfers.
Depending on how the clock is configured, there are a number of steps it might prompt you to perform when clocking. For example, if the clock is configured for biometric verification, it will prompt you to scan your finger. Similarly, if it’s configured for picture capture, it will take your picture when you perform a clock entry. For more information about the functionality you are configured for, contact your manager or system administrator.
To perform a clock entry:
- In the home screen, tap the button for the type of clock entry that you want to perform. For example, to clock in for your shift, tap the following Start Shift button:
- When prompted, swipe your badge or type your badge number.
- Follow the prompts to perform any additional steps that your clock is configured for, such as biometric verification, PIN entry, and picture capture.
- Note: If you’re required to submit your fingerprint for biometric verification, place the middle of your finger pad lightly on the fingerprint sensor. You shouldn’t press your finger down hard on the fingerprint sensor.
