Badge Enrollment (Dayforce Clock Pro Only)

Badge enrollment involves creating a badge for the employee in Dayforce in the People feature, in the Work > Badge screen, and scanning their physical badge on the Dayforce Clock Pro.

Before You Begin: This functionality requires a proximity reader on your Dayforce Clock Pro device.

Add an Employee Badge in People

If you’re enrolling an employee on the clock who doesn’t have a badge number configured in Dayforce, first you have to create a badge number for them in People.

To add an employee badge in Dayforce:

  1. Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Badge.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the Badge field, enter a badge number for the employee.
  4. Click the Effective From field and enter the date when the employee can start clocking in and out using the badge number. By default, the field contains today’s date.
  5. (Optional) Click the Effective To field and enter the last date that the employee can clock in and out using the badge number. By default, this field is blank and the badge number doesn’t expire.
  6. Click Save.

Enroll Employee Badges on the Clock

To enroll an employee badge on the Dayforce Clock Pro:

  1. Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
  2. Tap Enroll Employee Badge.
  3. Enter the employee’s badge number (as configured in People in the Work > Badge screen).
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Scan the physical badge by pressing it against the proximity reader on the Dayforce Clock Pro.
    • If available, use the barcode slot reader to swipe the physical badge if it contains a barcode or magnetic stripe.
  5. The clock shows an authorization message to indicate if the employee badge was successfully enrolled.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Enroll another employee.
    • Log out.
    • Click Back to my clock to return to the admin menu.
