Badge enrollment on the Dayforce Touch Clock involves entering an employee’s badge number (configured in Dayforce in the People feature, in the Work > Badge screen) on the clock, and scanning their physical badge.

Add an Employee Badge in People
If you’re enrolling an employee at the clock who doesn’t have a badge number configured in the application, you’ll have to create a badge number for them in the People feature before enrolling their physical badge at the clock.
To add an employee badge record in the application:
- Go to People, open the employee profile, and click Work > Badge.
- Click Add.
- In the Badge field, enter a badge number for the employee.
- Click the Effective From field and enter the date when the employee can start clocking in and out using the badge number. By default, the application uses today’s date.
- Click the Effective To field and enter the last date that the employee can clock in and out using the badge number. By default, this field is blank and the badge number doesn’t expire.
- Click Save.
Enroll Employee Badges on the Clock
To enroll an employee badge on the Dayforce Touch Clock:
- Go to the Administrator Mode screen.
- Tap Enroll Employee Badge.
- Enter the employee’s badge number (found in the Work > Badge screen of People).
- Scan the physical badge by pressing it against the proximity reader on the Dayforce Touch Clock:
- Alternatively, swipe the physical badge if it contains a barcode or magnetic stripe.
- If successful, the clock shows the following message:
- Tap Yes to enroll an additional badge, or tap No to return to the main menu.
