Admin Function Configuration

The <functions id="admin"> section controls the admin functions that clock administrators can use in the Administrator Mode screen.

data_sync_menu	√	√	Enables the Server Synchronization button which opens the Server Synchronization screen. to synchronize the information on the clock, including submitting clock entries and updating the time. See Admin Datasync Function Configuration.
bio_menu	√	√	Enables the Fingerprint Enrollment button which opens the Biometric Mode screen. In this screen, users can enroll employees for biometric verification and maintain biometric templates. See Biometric Function Configuration.
admin_photo_menu	√		Enables the Photo Enrollment button which opens the Photo Enrollment Mode screen. In this screen, users can enroll employees for picture capture and maintain picture templates. See Photo Function Configuration (Dayforce Clock Pro Only).
local_employee_enroll	√		Enables the Local Employee Enrollment button to grant clock access to employees who haven’t been onboarded yet in Dayforce. This function is useful when organizations need to rapidly onboard a large number of new employees, and need them to perform clock entries on the clock before their employee records have been created in Dayforce.
admin_update_software	√		Enables the Software Update button to manually check for software updates.
admin_network_setup	√		Enables the Network Setup button to connect to wireless and Ethernet networks.
admin_clock_info	√	√	Enables the Clock Information button to view information about the clock such as its IP, Wi-Fi MAC address and Ethernet MAC address.
admin_restart_clock	√		Enables the Restart Clock button to manually restart the clock.
admin_lock_screen	√		Enables the Lock Screen button to lock the clock screen so that you can clean it without accidentally tapping any buttons.
admin_upgrade_firmware_from_server	√		Enables the Online Firmware Update button to install firmware updates.
hw_test	√		Enables the Hardware Diagnostics button to run hardware and diagnostic tests.
admin_call_home	√		Enables the Call Home button to communicate with the admin server.
admin_override_call_home_url	√		Enables the Override Registration URL button to register the clock using a different URL. This functionality is meant for customers who are hosting Dayforce in their own environment.
admin_relay_control	√		Enables the Relay Control button to manually open or close relays. See Relay Control Function Configuration (Dayforce Clock Pro Only).
admin_test_clock_communication	√		Enables the Test Clock Communication button to test the clock’s network connections.
enroll_raw_badge	√		Enables the Enroll Employee Badge button to enroll employee badges.
reset_pin	√		Enables the Reset PIN button to reset employee PINs.
